Terms of service

You must be at least 18 years old to use BetFrnd. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement. BetFrnd is a virtual-currency signal marketplace, not a real-money gambling product, but some jurisdictions restrict even virtual-currency betting services — it is your responsibility to confirm the service is permitted where you are.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it accurate while it is active. You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Sharing or transferring accounts is not permitted.

BetFrnduses virtual currency ("VC") for all in-app bets. VC has the following properties:

• Non-withdrawable. VC cannot be redeemed for cash or any other tangible asset.
• No cash value. VC is not a payment instrument and is not a security.
• Non-transferable. You cannot send VC to another user, sell VC outside the service, or gift VC.
• Revocable. We may adjust, withhold, or revoke VC where there is evidence of fraud, error, or breach of these terms.

New accounts receive a one-time VC sign-up bonus on email verification. Further VC can be purchased in tiered packs from the wallet. Pack pricing is shown in GBP at the point of purchase; payment is processed by Stripe.

Bets on BetFrnd are placed using VC only. Once a bet is confirmed it is binding and cannot be cancelled by you. Open bets settle automatically when we receive an official result from our sports-data provider; settlements are final once recorded.

You may have a maximum of five (5) open bets at any one time. If a sports-data provider issues a corrected result, we may re-settle affected bets and adjust your wallet balance accordingly.

Users whose recent betting history meets our published eligibility threshold (a 60%+ win rate over their last 5 settled bets, minimum 3 settled bets) may offer one open bet at a time as a paid "signal" for sale in GBP. Signals are informational only — buyers receive the bet picks and may choose to act on them externally; BetFrnd does not place real-money bets on your behalf.

A seller's signals can have up to five (5) active listings at a time. The signal's buy window closes shortly before the earliest kickoff in the underlying bet. One bet can ever be sold as a signal — a settled bet cannot be re-listed.

Payments are processed by Stripe. The platform retains 30% of the net amount after Stripe fees; the remaining 70% is transferred to the seller's Stripe Connect account. Sellers must complete Stripe Connect Express onboarding before payouts can be issued and must comply with Stripe's own terms.

VC top-ups are non-refundable once the VC is credited to your wallet, since VC has no monetary value. If a payment was made in error or VC was not credited, email info@betfrnd.com and we will investigate.

Signal purchase refunds are limited to non-delivery (the seller never made their picks visible) and fraud. To request a refund, email us with the signal ID and purchase ID. We may consult Stripe's dispute resolution process where applicable.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any laws applicable to you (including age- and jurisdiction-related restrictions).
• Create or maintain multiple accounts, share account credentials, or buy/sell accounts.
• Attempt to manipulate the signal marketplace — for example, colluding to inflate win rates, listing signals you have no intention of standing behind, or wash-trading purchases.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, automate, or otherwise access the service in ways not intended.
• Interfere with the service's operation, attempt to access another user's account or data, or circumvent rate limits or security controls.
• Use the service to facilitate harassment, defamation, or any other harmful conduct directed at other users.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, appear to be fraudulent, or pose risk to the service or other users. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to respond before closing an account. We may also immediately suspend access where there is evidence of fraud or imminent harm.

You may close your account at any time from the Danger Zone on your profile page. Account closure is irreversible. Outstanding balances of VC are forfeited on closure (VC has no cash value — see Section 2). Stripe-mediated payments and Stripe Connect payouts that have already been processed are not reversed.

We provide the service on a reasonable-effort basis. Planned maintenance and unplanned outages will happen; significant ones are communicated via the support email below. Where sports-data providers fail to deliver event results in a timely manner, bet settlement may be delayed.

BetFrndis provided "as is" and on an "as available" basis. Signals reflect a seller's opinions about future events and are not advice of any kind. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Nothing onBetFrnd is financial, investment, or gambling advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BetFrnd Ltd and our officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms is capped as described above and otherwise as set out in the full legal terms.

You retain ownership of content you upload (such as your avatar). You grant us the limited, royalty-free rights necessary to host, display, and process your content as part of operating the service. The BetFrnd brand, trademarks, design system, and code remain the property of BetFrnd Ltd.

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above tells you when. Where the changes are material we will email registered users and surface a notice in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these terms, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules of your home jurisdiction require otherwise.
